Who should I contact to find out more about industry-academia collaboration or some technical information? Do I need to pay a fee?

For inquiries, please contact the Innovative Collaboration Center. We recommend that you to use the Inquiry Form (or e-mail), as some of our administrative staff do not speak English. Inquiries will be answered free of charge.

Is there a risk of technology or know-how leaking out by making an inquiry?

We will sign a non-disclosure agreement with you and handle confidential information with special care. However, we cannot ensure security (including that of e-mail inquiries) prior to the signing of a NDA, so please do not include any confidential information in your e-mails.

Do you have an e-mail address I can send to directly in English? How long will it take to receive a reply?

Please make use of the Inquiry Form. You can also contact us by e-mail at ticc_tokai@tsc.u-tokai.ac.jp. The person in charge or a coordinator may not be available immediately. Please allow us about one week to reply.

What do I need to do to collaborate with Tokai University?

① Contact our Innovative Collaboration Center. The University’s coordinator will get back to you by e-mail.
② Meet researchers (mainly by e-mail).
③ Sign agreement (joint research, entrusted research, etc. The Center staff will handle the administrative paperwork).
④ Start collaboration!

Can I discuss research topics that are not posted on the university website?

We also conduct a range of research projects that are not listed in our website. Please let us know the field and content of your inquiry.

Can we dispatch our engineers to the university?

Yes, we can accept your engineers through programs offered by the university.

Does Tokai University have experience collaborating with foreign companies?

We have collaborated with overseas companies in joint research, entrusted research, and Material transfer projects. We can respond flexibly to various collaboration requests.
